Research has shown the following combination of lures to be highly attractive to flies and other flying insects up to a distance of 26 feet away: (1) the color itself, gold, (2) the reflective properties of the shiny metallic surface which causes an "open window of light" effect, (3) specially formulated cherry scented adhesive, (4) a non-toxic sex attractant, and (5&6) two proprietary attractants which are now incorporated into all its glue products.
