Maxforce Carpenter ant gel contains fipronil, a fast-acting active ingredient. It's speed is still slow enough however for foraging ants to return to the colony and feed the bait to larvae and queen(s) so that the entire colony is killed through the Domino effect. The baits attractiveness is greatest within 2 weeks of application.
